To obtain an accurate quotation for your hardwood flooring it is helpful if you can draw a rough plan of your room's shape, (Click on the small illustration on the right to see an example.)
Don't worry, it doesn't have to be an accurate scale drawing! - just an idea of the room's shape and accurate measurements will be enough. However, it is better if you can measure distances between walls at a mid-point in the room rather than along the walls (see diagram for example). Very few walls are sufficiently "true" to square to allow for accurate measurement in that way. Click here to print out a grid which will make things much easier for you. - Home Visits - Of course, if you don't want to measure your room for yourself we will be happy to arrange a home visit to do this for you, as well as to discuss any other questions you might have.
